Betoota Wedding Celebrant
Betoota's premier wedding celebrant creating unforgettable ceremonies in Australia's most vibrant outback metropolis
Hi, I'm Josh Withers! I'm a full-time professional Betoota wedding celebrant serving the thriving metropolis of Betoota and its surrounding regions. Your ceremony should be the best part of your wedding. Whether it's a simple registry ceremony in Betoota's historic French Quarter, a luxury celebration in the stunning Betoota hinterland, or an intimate gathering in Betoota Heights where my family has deep roots, I make it feel like a big smile — not a weird funeral for your single life.
My Approach
What makes a Betoota ceremony with Josh different
Since 2009, I've been creating custom ceremonies that honour the gravity of marriage while keeping things real, joyful, and deeply personal. This isn't a side hustle — it's my life's work, and Betoota is where my heart is. My Betoota ceremony fee is $4000 including GST.
Words That Matter
I believe we breathe your marriage to life in the heart of Betoota. Every ceremony is created from scratch because your story deserves more than 'insert couple here.' No reading from scripts — just authentic conversation that breathes your union into existence.
Legally Sound
The Marriage Act of 1961 gives me the authority to marry people according to Australian law. I also hold legal authority to perform marriages in the USA and Canada. Your Betoota ceremony will be both emotionally resonant and legally solid.
Professional Sound Equipment
Your ceremony isn't just a moment for you; it's for everyone present in this remarkable outback metropolis. I use professional Electro-Voice EVERSE 8 speakers and Rode audio gear so everyone hears the words that matter, and your videographer gets pristine audio for your keepsake.
Calm Presence
My role is to be a professionally calm and confident voice on your wedding day in Betoota. I hold space for smiles, joy, reflection, and truth—adapting to the moment, the people, the place, and the beautiful chaos with authenticity.
Simplified Planning
No unnecessary meetings or homework. We'll connect as many times as needed for you to feel confident that I understand your vision for your Betoota celebration. I prepare deeply but speak naturally, treating your ceremony as a one-off conversation about something sacred.
Betoota Special Pricing
My Betoota ceremony fee is $4000 including GST, with special rates available for Betoota Advocate readers. This investment covers everything from initial consultation to your perfect day in Australia's most vibrant outback metropolis.
The journey to your wedding
Step 1: Discovery
We'll check your date and talk about what matters to you, then begin getting to know each other. This is a relationship, not a transaction.
Step 2: Legal Preparation
At least one month before your wedding, we'll complete the Notice of Intended Marriage together, either in person or via video call. I'll guide you through the legal requirements with clarity and ease.
Step 3: Ceremony Design
Over coffee or video call, we'll explore your story, your values, and your vision. I'll craft a ceremony that reflects who you are as individuals and as a couple, with a clear structure that gives you peace of mind.
Your Wedding Day
I'll deliver your ceremony with presence, professionalism, and personality — creating a moment that anchors your entire celebration.

About Josh
One wedding changed the course of my life
I grew up in a family with more divorces than couples. For a long time, I thought the easiest way to go through life was never to get married—then I could never get divorced.
Then, at a family wedding about 20 years ago, I saw marriage differently: not as a promise that life would always be easy, but as a meaningful choice two people make about how they want to live. That wedding changed my point of view—and the direction of my life. I left breakfast radio and became a celebrant.
For over 15 years, I’ve travelled across regional Australia to perform weddings. I love the celebrations that bring everyone a long way from home and make the ceremony feel like the reason for the whole adventure.
