Adam’s Distillery
A whisky-lover’s wedding dream just south of Launceston – Adam’s Distillery offers modern industrial vibes, spacious grounds, and Tasmanian spirit in every sense.
Found on the historic Glen Ireh estate near Launceston, Adam’s Distillery blends Tasmania’s whisky legacy with the magic of a big country celebration. There’s a lakefront lawn for your ceremony, a bar that pours with passion, and an award-winning barrel room that doubles as your reception space or an all-weather backup plan.
Couples looking for a modern industrial vibe with wide open spaces, excellent drinks, and plenty of fresh air will feel right at home here. And on a warm Northern Tassie day? There are few places better to say “I do” with me, your Launceston wedding celebrant.
My Experience Here
I was lucky enough to officiate Claudia and Tyler’s wedding here, and from the moment I arrived, I loved the feel of the property — so much space for ceremony, for ambience, for kids to run around, and for a thousand perfect photo ops. The bar was a highlight, obviously (it is a distillery after all), and the team behind the venue were warm, helpful, and made it easy to create something unforgettable.
Claudia and Tyler said:
Josh went above and beyond with our wedding. He offered advice before the ceremony and recommended vendors that suited our needs. Thank you for your comforting phone calls nights before the wedding and meeting with us in person beforehand.
Josh brought our ceremony to life in a way that truly no one else could. He made us feel comfortable and relaxed.
After the wedding, our certificate from the Tasmanian government was lost in the mail — Josh didn’t hesitate to help, leverage his connections in the BDM, and got it sorted immediately.
Josh is an incredible man and can mould himself to suit anyone’s needs. We could not have picked a more perfect celebrant. We highly recommend Josh.

Planning Tips
- Accommodation: You’ll find more hotels in Launceston, but the nearby towns of Perth, Longford, and Evandale have beautiful Airbnbs worth checking out.
- Transport: Parking is easy, but don’t rely on Ubers or taxis — they’re rare this far out. Either organise a bus or nominate a responsible driver.
- Weather: Even on a summer’s day in Tassie, bring a jacket — just in case. That said, wet weather options inside the distillery are top-notch.
- Drinks: This is a whisky distillery — so if your crowd loves a dram or two, you’re in for a treat. Consider offering tastings or whisky-themed favours.
- Sunlight: Golden hour over the lake can be magical for photos. Talk to your photographer about the best ceremony time for light.
