Encore sits inside the St Kilda Sea Baths, with Port Phillip Bay beyond its windows and the foreshore just outside. It gives you the beach setting with an indoor ceremony space, rather than having to put your guests out on the sand.
Deb and Mickey’s wedding at Encore
I married Deb and Mickey here on 18 September 2026. Their brief was a low-key, playful celebration with friends and family, and a chocolate fountain instead of a wedding cake.
They walked into their ceremony together, exchanged vows beside the windows and headed back up the aisle to applause. Liam X Quinn photographed the day, and Nicky Johnston created live guest illustrations during the celebrations. The photographs on this page are Liam’s.
Planning your ceremony
Encore’s wedding information describes indoor ceremonies overlooking the bay, with rooftop ceremonies available as a summer option. Its flexible rooms allow the ceremony and reception to happen at the same venue.
The venue currently lists up to 50 white ceremony chairs, with additional seating available to hire. Talk through your guest numbers, seating, room layout and wet-weather arrangements with the team, especially if you are considering the rooftop.
