Maslin Beach
A coastal setting for an Adelaide elopement, with sand, cliffs and views over the sea. See Jamie and Evan’s Maslin Beach wedding and review.
Maslin Beach gives an Adelaide elopement a coastal setting, with an expanse of sand and cliffs overlooking the water. The City of Onkaparinga includes it among its locations for wedding ceremonies on public land.
Jamie and Evan’s elopement
I married Jamie and Evan at Maslin Beach. Jamie travelled from Singapore and Evan from Nebraska, bringing their long-distance relationship together for an elopement in Adelaide.
Their ceremony included personal requests and dialogue from a video game. In their review, they describe the planning across time zones, the paperwork and the freedom to make the ceremony their own. The photograph on this page shows the three of us together by the coast at sunset.
Planning a beach ceremony
Start with the council’s current wedding information and confirm arrangements for your chosen spot. Talk through access, tides, wind and an alternative plan for poor weather before settling on your ceremony location.
